It's been a long day today. Not only did I have 195 e-mails waiting patiently (ha) for me in my Outlook Inbox, I had much to do to get back into the swing of things and get caught up at work. I'm only 5 working days behind. No biggie. uh...yeah. right.
Anyway - after the many sympathies and well wishes I received from my coworkers this morning, I was able to get into the breakroom for my afternoon hot tea fix. Well, it was hot chocolate today, but I felt I deserved it. And I read the funniest note on the breakroom bulletin board.
To preface (or flowchart), I report to the Controller, Virgil Roel. His father had just been hospitalized a few months before for pneumonia (no, really, he had pneumonia). Virgil's father sent a thank you to IE Discovery and this is what it stated:
"Thank you for the flowers you sent to me while I was flat on my back at Seton Hospital."
Needless to say, I couldn't stop laughing. It put my day into much better perspective.
