Book Review

I chose this book because it was set in Charleston, SC. And reading it made me quite homesick for this city I lived in, that I have yet to return to since I left. Islands, by Anne Rivers Siddons is about firendships, and the secrets that are harbored within those friendships. It was "okay", I don't think it was one of her better stories, but she couldn't have been any more dead-on with her depiction of Charleston and the surrounding sea islands. I could almost smell the "pluff mud" while I was reading this story. Not to mention seeing the historic Battery and Rainbow Row, as well as the historic places mentioned.
