I have gotten another cold this season. And I must admit, when I have a cold, everyone knows I have a cold. I am a whiny, selfish baby when it comes to getting a cold. Partly because it grosses me out that it is contagious, and partly because I just don't like feeling crappy. It gets in the way.
But as I was blowing my nose today, it was bright lime green snot. Yes, I know - TMI (too much information), but it's the point of this whole blog. So I asked "Why is my snot bright green when I have a cold?" And the response was "Because it shows it is infected with bacteria." And the ending metaphor...."You know, when bread becomes moldy, it changes color - it's the bacteria."
Wonderful. I'm a science project. Makes me feel even better.
