My friend Craig came to visit me from San Antonio and brought his wife's bicycle for us to take advantage of the most absolutely beautiful day this whole year. We rode an estimated 6 miles all the away around Town Lake. I haven't had such fun in ages. And let me tell you....my spirit was jubilantly saying 12 years old, but my body was screaming 35!
And seeing the number of people around Town Lake also enjoying the beautiful weather was really inspiring. It's good to know that people are getting some form of exercise and being socially active by walking and/or riding. And it's another reason Laurel should move to TX - there were so many dogs.
Craig and I rode from the Lamar Bridge to MoPac, then all the way to I-35, and then made it up to the top of Riverside where we watched the Austin Rowing Races. Then we made it up Riverside Drive where I felt like we were children going where it was DANGEROUS. And we passed by a dog park and then made it back on to the Hike and Bike trail by the Austin American Statesman. Such a joyous feel to be out and about and enjoying the day and getting exercise.
