Big DRAMA this evening that unfolded between a very stupid dove, and an agile, aging cat. A White-winged dove decided to land on the bird feeder that is filled with clogged up seed. Oscar took notice, and the dove did too. Then the dove decided that it (he/she?) needed to get closer to the bird feeder and landed on my top white railing. I've never seen my almost-twelve year old cat move quite that fast! He literally "scared the feathers off that bird." There were more feathers left than bird. I did explain to Oscar that dove hunting is illegal right now. Season is not until early September. The city folk may not know that, but us Sealy/Gatesville gals do!
