All That Jazz

Decided today since my intended houseguests this weekend didn't evacuate Houston that I would go see the musical Chicago at the UT Performing Arts Center. I wanted to get my tickets earlier this week, but Wednesday's hurricane panic didn't see that happen.

So I decided to go all by myself. And by getting just one ticket I was able to sit 9 rows from the stage. It was a great performance, and I loved the homage to Bob Fosse. But can you say "leper"? Not one person talked to me around me. Not like I offered up any witty conversation.

So if you think you can't do anything by yourself, like watch a movie in a theater, try watching a live performance by yourself. I think I was the only person who wasn't there with someone else.

Fancy not meeting you there. Were you at the 2pm matinee? So was I. We were in the last row of the Orchestra section so my seats weren't as great as yours. If you ever need a show buddy, give me a holler.
