We are currently on Hurricane Rita Watch. All roads to Austin are clogged, no hotels can be found, gas is going fast, and water is a valuable commodity. We are watching her track go slightly eastwards (poor Louisiana) so we may not get much more than rain & high winds. Let's hope so! I'd rather have a Hurricane Party with the drink and not as a guest! (My homage to Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans.)
For what it's worth, I'm hoping we have no electricity or cable problems because I will have an extreme case of cabin fever without my beloved cable and wireless internet.
Also - am saying all sorts of prayers, voodoo, chants, and whatnot in hopes that our cruise next week does not get cancelled. It survived Katrina, now Rita stands in its way. Doesn't Rita know that umbrellas in my drink make things all better?
