In anticipation of my first Thanksgiving without Joanne, I have recreated the pumpkin pie thanks to the ingenious help of Texas Monthly' weekly recipes that come into my Yahoo email inbox.

Yes. It tastes as good as it sounds. I made it and had Steph & Suzanne rate the pie, which won a thumbs up from both parties. Then, I took it to the office where it was promptly devoured. It rates as the "new pumpkin pie" and I'll be taking it with me to Sealy where I'll be spending it with my brother and his family.
