And, suprisingly enough, even in Alabama it's THE LAW. When it's raining, you must have your car lights turned on. It's not "law" here in TX, but it is in 'bama.
As I drove back from family obligations today in Gatesville in the nasty, drizzly, muck of I-35, I was surprised (and of course annoyed) by the number of morons, er, car drivers, that do not have their lights on their cars when driving in the nasty rain. One of my one-sided conversations to a moronic driver went something like this....."um...yeah...like, I could see you better with your lights on and would get out of your way into the next lane sooner if you didn't have to drive up into my ass to ensure I could see you behind me."

I have that same (and many other) one-sided conversation too. My biggest pet peave about drivers is when they don't use their turn signals. This one goes..."You know you paid for the whole car, you might as well use all of it."
