What is going on lately. It just seems that whenever I enter into a retail store where I have no idea of what I'm doing in there so that I require help from the staff, I can't seem to get any. They just ignore me as if I must certainly know what I want and how to get it.
Perfect example is when I went into Buck's Bike's on Research Blvd and shopped around for 15 minutes. Not one person stopped to ask me if I need any help. And Buck's Bikes is a small, locally owned place. It's not even a superstore. Do I REALLY look like a bike expert? Do I even look like I've been on a bike since I was 12? On my way out, I actually ask 2 gentlemen if they worked at the store (um, they had Buck's Bikes logo shirts on). I explain that I've been in here the whole time and not one person asked if they could help me with anything. Maybe it just takes me being assertive.
And then again today. At Fry's Electronics of all places. I mean, you can hardly walk into that store wihtout getting bombarded at every aisle by staff. But today, I think Fry's was trying to pay me a compliment. I was in the Computer Hardware, Electronic components section and not one person stopped me. I mean, I'm a girl, in the HARDWARE SECTION. Doesn't this automatically make me eligible for idiocy? What could I possibly know about complicated things like computers that I couldn't possibly need assistance? The fact that my estrogen outweighs any testosterone means I have a neon sign on my forehead stating "NEED HELP, NEED HELP NOW PLEASE". But you know, Thank You and Bless You Fry's. Because I didn't need your help. I found the USB Convertor I needed to revive my Compaq because I was jonesing for internet access. SO HAH. take that. I'm blogging this evening without you. Except for your Linksys I bought.

It's you... or, perhaps the staff in that area of the store were of the pimply faced, awkward around girls variety. It's a toss up.
BTW, was that a USB converter or a network adapter? ; )
see...it's all mumbo jumbo to me...it is a Linksys Compact USB2.0 network adapter. same thing/whatever.
Frys? Help? The two do not exsist together. I have never once been asked if I need help, and instead can be found in TV's asking if someone can me find the effin' firewire cables! Love Frys, yet hate them...
USB2.0 rocks! so much faster than USB.
