Accident Prone

Steph said Mercury was rising in my Leo sign. I say that I'm just downright klutzy.

Today was Accident Prone Day. And it started right from the get-go, before I could even chug my 1st cup of coffee.

In the incident that shall be filed as "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished", I attempted to make a 3rd pot of coffee for the office when I realized that #3 pot needed to have coffee plus filter to get it started. As I pulled out the filter section, it was flooded with boiling hot water and floating coffee grounds due to a double filtered, clogged section which spilled out onto my hand. As it scalded me, I took it to the sink, unable to prevent the explosion that happened as a result of coffee everywhere. After running cold water, ice bag, Solocaine & Aloe Vera gel, I went about my merry way with a nice little red rash reminder.

And then...in the incident that shall be filed as "Spatial Relationship Encounter", I opened the glass/metal door to my chiropractor's office, only to not be correctly positioned in such a way as to avoid the door from skidding across my foot and stubbing my 3rd little toe causing it to bleed. Yes, I was disabled, cripped, and unable to feel anything for a brief moment, also causing me to stop breathing momentarily.

But - in that optimistic way - the good thing was I no longer felt the stinging 1st degree burn, but my left foot hurt the rest of the day like a sonofagun.
