So it seems that Joanne was really just bored and lonely. The doctor says it will be another 2 weeks before she can be on the "better" side of pneumonia - which puts us at Thanksgiving. So, I also got drafted to make Thanksgiving pumpkin and pecan pie. Because my sister-in-law, who thinks she's God's gift to homemaking (and has a degree in same from Baylor), is a TERRIBLE cook. She's bringing green-bean casserole & candied yams and you won't see me TOUCHING that nasty stuff. Because she can ruin just about anything she cooks. I just can't WAIT for Thanksgiving. I'm just going for the dressing.
