I've often remarked to James how safe I feel in my neighborhood. It's fairly quiet, I live on a side street, and I sorta know at least the neighbors on my right & left. But last night was truly indicative of how safe my neighborhood is.
I left my garage door open all night Saturday, all day Sunday, and Sunday night. How do I know this? Because we never left the house once Sunday. I knew it was open when James left, but I just forgot that it was open with good intention to close it.
And then this morning, couldn't find my car keys. Yep. You guessed it. They were in the ignition - right where James left them.
So not only could the bad guys steal my car. But they could have also entered the house quite easily. So rest assured that tonight - I'm on lockdown - with the car keys in my usual spot in the kitchen (where I can find them in the morning.)
