You know you are old when

George & Allison donated a dining room table to my cause. I had been standing firm on not accepting hand-me-downs because I wanted to not get used to what I was using (it was suggested at one time to use a folding card table), and once I get used to something, why change it?

So they donated a dining room table with 2 chairs. And, while my desired dining room table is one that seats up to 6 people, I decided that it was time to put SOMETHING in the dining area. And, as an aside, I've sat at that darn thing every night since I got it. It has been a nice reprieve from sitting on the couch in front of the TV. James & I even ate last night's Pork Tenderloin dinner at the table with my new table linens.

But, what's really sad to report is that when I got the dining room table and chairs home, I was the only person around to unload. And, being able and ready, I started in. The chairs came out first since they were the lightest. And then the table. Which, was a lot heavier than I originally thought. And I hauled it in through the front door all the way to the dining room. And, you know, my arms felt a bit strained. And I remembered to lift with my knees, not my back. But a little bit later, my lower back started to feel strained. Well, actually, it was my BUTT that started to hurt. And hurt it did. I must have pinched a nerve. All night, I'd roll over, and wake up from the sharp pain. And I couldn't sit down, or stand up. It hurt to use my right leg due to my butt pain to drive and accelerate. And walking up stairs - ugh. And going down stairs, slow & painful. And everytime I crossed my legs at my desk, I'd have to help my right leg cross over my left.

This old grey mare just ain't what she used to be. Took me two days to get back to being RIGHT.
