Had my Eye Doctor appointment yesterday. To all opthalmologists out there: I hate having my eyes dilated. I know, I know, something about seeing the retina and my eye health...yadayadayada.
But my Dr. broke it on down for me. (I'm quoting here) "Because you are soooooooooo nearsighted, which means that your eye shape is quite elongated, that you'll NEVER be a candidate for any of the refractive surgery that you hear about these days."
UGH. Yes - the lasik surgery scares me. But to know that (at this time) it's not even a possibility just SUCKS. Great, so now I get to wear contacts FOREVER. I've worn them for 29 years so far.
