update on Frankfinger: limited mobility. prickly sensation on the nerve endings when I touch it. Dr's appt on Monday with TX Orthopedics. Keeping my fingers (on my left hand) crossed that only physical therapy and/or patience and no surgery will be necessary.
So today's blog are the top 5 things I miss.
1. Piano playing.
2. Typing faster than a speeding bullet. I'm no longer a speedy 85 wpm after errors, but a rather more sedate 55. And I'm still not that accurate.
3. Come hithering. When I beckon someone, they don't quite get the hand signal.
4. Pointing. Since I can't quite stretch my finger all the way, it's a pretty lame finger wagging.
5. Gripping. Since I can't curl my fingers around the handle of anything, it just sticks out there like a finger-on-a-stick. Quite useless in general.

My Okla cousin Carole has arthritis in her two pointer fingers, and they sort of curl down at the tips, so I'm sure she could sympathize with you. Meanwhile, I promise not to tease you like I do her!
