So, I weighed in today. I feel skinnier, lighter, less cumbersome. And, I think I need a new bathroom scale at home. My scale reads that I lost AT LEAST 4 lbs. Maybe 5. I'm not entirely sure of the total as I can hardly read the analog scale. My scale is SO mid-90's, any scale worth its weight is digital.
So, imagine my joy when the receptionist asked if I was going to be staying as I would be getting a ribbon, which in the old days signified you lost your 1st 5 lbs. She had to break it to me gently that I only lost 2 lbs, not 5, and the ribbon was a new "welcome back to week 2" they now give out as part of motivation.
Well, all in all, I am glad I lost 2 lbs. Need to start somewhere. Plus, with the challenges I faced, like dining with Steph & her parents and having a full scale dessert with coffee, and then birthday dinner with Jeanne, and sushi with Steph & Suzanne, I swear that I made it through my first week making choices that were reasonable and good and actually yummy.
I am proud of myself.
